El viernes 4 de mayo de 2012 el II Festival Internacional de Cine y Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil (FICAIJ 2012), con sede en Mérida, Venezuela, se encontró con los medios regionales con el fin de conversar sobre la iniciativa de la Asociación Civil Expresión Ixoye, organizador de dicho Festival. Entonces se aprovechó para dar a conocer la lista de actividades que propone FICAIJ a la colectividad regional y nacional, así como los nombres de los países participantes en las diversas categorías y espacios del Festival, también nombres de Instituciones públicas regionales, pero sobre todo nacionales e internacionales, Empresas privadas, Asociaciones, Festivales, Redes, Plataformas, Ministerios, Fundaciones, Asociaciones, Embajadas, entre tantas otras que apoyan la iniciativa merideña del grupo de valientes que conforman Ixoye. En palabras de los ciudadanos Carlos Céspedes, Wulliams Castellano y Orlando Acevedo (Presidente, Productor General y Jefe Técnico, respectivamente) se dio a conocer el planteamiento de Ixoye para este importante espacio de reflexión y reconocimiento del Cine y el Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil hecho por y para niños (as) y jóvenes. También se hizo el llamado a la comunidad general a acercarse y aprovechar las actividades gratuitas que promueve el Festival.

PRESS CONFERENCE 

Last Friday May 4th 2012, the II International Film and Audiovisual Festival for Children and Youth (IFAFCY 2012) met with the regional media to talk about the initiative of the event’s coordinator, the Ixoye Expression Civilian Association. This was the perfect opportunity to publically announce the Activity List that the IFAFCY proposed this year to the national and regional collectivity, along with the names of the participating nations in the numerous categories and sets of the Festival. It was also notable the mention of the different Public Regional, National and International Institutions, private companies, associations, festivals, networks, platforms, ministries, foundations, embassies and everyone who supports the initiative offered by the brave people conforming Ixoye. The Ixoye’s idea for this important opportunity for reflection along with the films and audiovisual material for children and youth made by children and young people recognition were made by Carlos Céspedes, Wulliams Castellano and Orlando Acevedo (The Festival’s President, Producer and technical Manager respectively.) Finally, the Festival officially invited to all the Community to come close and to take advantage of all the free activities that are offered by it.
