Festival en los medios/Festival in the Media

Cada vez nos acercamos más y más a la más importante gala dirigida y organizada por los (as) más pequeños (as) de la casa. Ellos (as) son los niños, nñas y jóvenes con edades entre los 07 y 17 años de edad. El Festival promete grandes sorpresas y espacios de encuentro no sólo para los adultos. Ya muchos son los medios que se han dado a la tarea de correr la voz y continuar la importante convocatoria a asistir y participar entre el próximo 07 y 13 de mayo de 2012 a las diferentes sede del Festival. De ellas precisamente está ya confirmada la sede principal que es nada más y nada menos que el Multicine Las Tapias ubicado en el Centro Comercial Las Tapias en Mérida.

Festival in the Media

Each day, we are getting closer and closer to the most important event directed and organized by the little ones of the house. They are children and youth with ages between 07 and 17 years olds. The Festival promises big surprises and meeting spaces not only for adults. There are many Medias that had spread the word and that are inviting people to attend and participate within the 07 and 13 May 2012 at the different venues of the Festival. One of the confirmed venues is Multicine Las Tapias located at Las Tapias mall in Merida.

FESTIVAL GUIDELINES

SECOND INTERNATIONAL FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

 Festival Guidelines
Categories: Children and youth
Spaces: Made for and By children and younth in scholar age.
Clasification: Regional, nacional and international


Information about Shipping and the participation on the festival:

  1)  You should send two copies on DVD format (region free) of the movie or audiovisual to the address in the footnote.

 2)  Add a printed copy of the registration form of the movie or audiovisual on the International Film and Audiovisual Festival for Children and Youth. Only a printed form along with the signature will be considered as the authorization of the producer’s participation on the Festival.

 3)  The festival allows the registration of films or audiovisual made for children and youth in scholar age, as well as the ones made by children and youth in scholar age. Both cases are called “Spaces” in the Festival. You must clarify it on the registration form.

 4) You can participate in the Regional category if you live in Merida Venezuela and you have produce a long or short film or audiovisual.


It does not matter if you are under the age of 18; the Festival allows the participation of films and audiovisuals made by children and youth in scholar age. In this case you have to send an authorization form from your parents or a teacher from your school.  If you wish, we can send an authorization format.

 5)  You can participate in the National category if you live in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and you have produce a long or short film or audiovisual.

It does not matter if you are under the age of 18; the Festival allows the participation of films and audiovisuals made by children and youth in scholar age. In this case you have to send an authorization form from your parents or a teacher from your school.  If you wish, we can send an authorization format

 6) You can participate in the International category of the Festival if you live in any country outside Venezuela.

There is not restriction on the language of your film or audiovisual. You have to send the two copies of the production with English closed caption or with English translation of the dialogs. You can send your translation by email, indicating minutes and seconds of the film where it starts each dialog. This document will allow us to make a dubbing into Spanish of the film or audiovisual

It does not matter if you are under the age of 18. In this case you have to send an authorization according to the national policies within your country or the international policies for children and youth.

  7)  It is important to remark that all costs for shipping submission are the responsibility of the sender. There is no limit on the number of film or audiovisual you wish to register on the Festival.

 8) The deadline submission for films and audiovisuals will be on the February 15, 2012.

 9)  The jury will be divided into three categories:
a.      Children Jury
b.      Youth Jury
c.       Adult Jury

 10)    The Children Jury will select two movies of the Regional Children Category: one from the space called “Made for” and one from the space called “Made by”. Two films or audiovisuals with the same characteristics for the national category will be selected.

  11)     The Youth Jury will select two movies of the Regional Youth Category: one from the space called “Made for” and one from the space called “Made by”. Two films or audiovisuals with the same characteristics for the national category will be selected.


 12)    The Adult Jury will select two movies of the Regional Children Category: one from the space called “Made for” and one from the space called “Made by”. Two films or audiovisuals with the same characteristics for the national and international category will be selected. There will be an identical choice for the Youth Category.

 13)    Following the guidelines from point 9 to 12 the Festival Awards will be:

a.      Children Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie for children”.
b.      Children Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie by children”.
c.       Children Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie for children”.
d.      Children Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie by children”.
e.      Youth Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie for youth in scholar age”.
f.       Youth Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie by youth in scholar age”.
g.      Youth Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie for youth in scholar age”.
h.      Youth Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie by youth in scholar age”.
i.        Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie for children”
j.        Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie by children”
k.      Adult Selection/ National Classification: “Best Movie for children”
l.        Adult Selection/ National Classification: “Best Movie by children”
m.    Adult Selection/ International Classification: “Best Movie for children”
n.      Adult Selection/ International Classification: “Best Movie by children”
o.      Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie for youth in scholar age”

 14)    In case there is a single movie or audiovisual registered in any of the classifications, spaces or categories, the Festival will declare its nullity, even trough the single piece will be showed in the Festival.

 15)    There will be no shared awards in any of the categories. The jury can not declare the nullity of any of the prizes. The decision of any jury will be final. Only the Adult Jury can declare one or more honorific or special mention.

 16)    The participation in the Festival stands for the acceptance of each one of the guidelines here exposed.

 17)    For any doubts, you can contact us, if possible, before the deadline submission.

 18)    Any event or happening not considered in these guidelines will be solved at the discretion of “Grupo de Artes Escénicas y Audiovisuales Expresión Ixoye”

1er Encuentro de Festivales y Muestras Nacionales e Internacionales de Cine y Audiovisual en Venezuela.



El pasado 16 de Febrero se llevó a cabo el 1er Encuentro de Festivales y Muestras Nacionales e Internacionales de Cine y Audiovisual en Venezuela. El encuentro contó con el auspicio del CNAC y la asistencia y participación de representantes de los siguientes festivales: Festival del Cortometraje Nacional Manuel Trujillo Durán; Festival Caracas Filminuto; Festival Binacional Bicentenario de Cine Venezuela-Colombia; Festival de Cortometrajea Clemente De La Cerda; Festival de Cine de los Llanos; Festival Internacional de Cine y Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil; Festival de Espiritualidad en el Cine Venezolano; Festival de Cine Venezolano de Mérida; Festival Caracas Docs; Festival 1000 Metros Bajo Tierra; Festival de Cine- Video en Secuencia; Muestra del Cortometraje Nacional; Festival Venezolano de Cine de la Diversidad; Festival Entre Largos y Cortos de Oriente (ELCO); Festival de Cortos de Caracas CHORTS; Festival de Cine Latinoamericano y Caribeño de Margarita; Festival de Cine Infantil de Ciudad Guayana; Festival Nacional de Cortometrajes de Barquisimeto; Festival Universitario de Video de Caracas (VIART)


El objetivo del encuentro apuntó hacia el reconocimiento mutuo entre los diferentes Festivales y Muestras venezolanas; el llamado a la auto-evaluación para el desarrollo de espacios de difusión, divulgación, formación e investigación Cinematográfica y Audiovisual. Entre otras cosas se conversó sobre la creación de un sector o red de Festivales y Muestras en Venezuela. Este importante esfuerzo viene a marcar un momento histórico de gran relevancia, en vista de la ausencia histórica en Venezuela de encuentros de divulgación de la cultura cinematográfica que incluyan la auto-crítica, publicaciones, exhibición, entre otros. 

El llamado del presidente del CNAC, Juan Carlos Lossada, apunta hacia el ejercicio de un liderazgo en el ámbito de la integración de los espacios de divulgación y difusión en Venezuela con el fin de evitar grados de dispersión o atomización de los esfuerzos. 

En palabras de la Licenciada Evelyn Márquez, Gerente de la Coordinación cinematográfica del CNAC, se abre en esta oportunidad una comunicación bidireccional y apoyo continuo entre dicha Institución y los Festivales y Muestras Venezolanas, así como entre los Festivales mismos… porque “la construcción de la cinematografía nacional no es una atribución exclusiva del CNAC, sino una tarea de todos (as), por y para todos (as)”.

Desde Mérida, sede del Festival Internacional de Cine y Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil, queremos extender una cordial felicitación a todos (as) los (as) participantes de este primer encuentro, como también un llamado a mantener una comunicación activa.

Se extiende convocatoria

Del 7 al 13 de mayo se realizará en la ciudad de Mérida la segunda edición del Festival Internacional de Cine y Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil.

La muestra competitiva es organizada por el Grupo de Artes Escénicas y Audiovisuales Expresión Ixoye, asociación que reúne a niños, jóvenes y adultos de la localidad, estudiantes y profesionales del teatro, el cine y el video que desarrollan diversos proyectos en tales áreas.

La convocatoria para los interesados en participar en la competencia, que abarca cortos, medios y largometrajes de ficción, animación y documental, así como producciones para televisión, cerrará el 15 de marzo.
Las inscripciones son gratuitas y la planilla para postular las obras está disponible en el blog www.expresionixoye.blogspot.com, donde está publicado el reglamento del festival.

Las películas y videos que sean seleccionados para la competencia oficial del certamen serán divididas en dos secciones: Hechas para niños, niñas y jóvenes en edad escolar y Hechas por niños, niñas y jóvenes en edad escolar.

La muestra contará con un jurado de expertos a los que se sumarán niños y niñas de entre 7 y 12 años de edad, para obras dirigidas al público infantil, y adolescentes de entre 13 y 17 años de edad, para las cintas hechas para audiencias juveniles.

Además de las proyecciones, los organizadores del festival ofrecerán a los interesados talleres y conversatorios, tales como “El Audiovisual y la Educación y Derechos de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes Artistas”.



 
Para el coordinador de Ixoye y productor del festival, Wulliams Castellano, el propósito del evento es ofrecer a los más pequeños, tanto de Mérida como de otros estados del país, la posibilidad de ver películas y audiovisuales de todas partes del mundo. “Queremos mostrarle a los niños y niñas otro tipo de películas que no sean las convencionales o comerciales, para que se transformen en espectadores críticos”, concluye.

Tema del Festival: "El amor"


Nuestra querida Luzanghela Raguso ha confirmado ya su participación como miembro del Jurado Infantil del II Festival Internacional de Cine y Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil, a celebrarse en Mérida, Venezuela, el próximo mayo de 2012. A propósito del tema del Festival, "El amor", ella nos ha comentado lo siguiente: 

¿Qué es para ti el amor?

"Cuando dos personas son amigos, después son novios, sienten mucho amor y quieren crear una familia.
También se puede amar a los hermanos, hermanas; a mamá o a papá diciéndoles: "Te amo", y abrazándolos.
Uno también puede amar la vida porque Dios nos la dio. 
Tenemos que aprovecharla haciendo cosas buenas  y mejorándose uno mismo.
Uno puede amar lo que uno hace si le gusta mucho y quiere hacerlo.
Pienso que debemos querer a nuestro prójimo porque ellos también son como nuestros hermanos".
